Throughout his career he has covered Grand Prix, English Premier League and Champions League football with BBC, BT Sport. His co-host Damien Hughes is an expert in high-performance cultures and is a visiting professor with Manchester University. He is an author of award winning books on sport, organisational development and change psychology. This is why they make the perfect mix of interviewing guests and then diving into find the lessons they can share on high performance.

The podcast is a simple interview and discussion based podcast interviewing and discussing high performance with their guests. Guests can range from any background; sport, entertainment, arts and business. The main aim of each episode is to extract lessons on achieving high performance in their own lives.
In each episode, they strip back high performance and find commonalities between each guest. In each episode they have the same questions that they ask each guest – ‘what is their definition of high performance?’, ‘what are the 3 non-negotiables?’, ‘greatest strength and weakness?’ and ‘what is the one golden rule to living a high performance life?’. After each interview, Jake and Damien spend some time at the end of each episode deconstructing and analysing the interview and discussion.
