Cheltenham Festival 2023 kicks off on Tuesday 14th March 2023. Horse racing fans and punters all over the world are eagerly anticipating one of the biggest horse racing events of the year. Every year millions of people tune in to watch one of the biggest horse racing festivals in the world. Cheltenham Festival brings the top horses, jockeys, owners and trainers to the race town in South West England. The festival traditionally runs over 4 days in the second week in March from the Tuesday to the Friday.

When is the Cheltenham Festival 2023?

This year the 2023 Cheltenham Festival kicks off on Tuesday 14th of March and the first race – Sky Bet Supreme Novices’ Hurdle – starts at 1:30pm.

It is expected that over 65,000 people will attend each day from the Tuesday to Friday with the festival ‘main event’ being the famous Gold Cup race on the Friday afternoon.

Cheltenham Ladies Day will be the Wednesday 15th March and is well worth tuning into to see some of the glitz and glamour of the event.

Here’s how to watch Cheltenham LIVE online or on TV. In the UK viewers can tune into ITV to get full coverage and commentary of races and interviews with jockeys, trainers and owners. This can also be streamed through the ITV website itv.com. Coverage starts at 1pm and will have full streaming of the first 5 races for each day.
